There are reports Action Democratique leader Mario Dumont could leave his jobs as head of the party and as an MNA earlier than expected.

Sources say he is planning to step down before the National Assembly returns from break on Mar.10.

An announcement could come as early as Tuesday.

While it appears likely that the leadership reins will be passed to Sylvie Roy, depute of Lotbiniere, she is not interested in pursuing the position full-time. At this point it is not clear who would be in the running to replace him as leader of the ADQ.
