Montreal police have arrested five men in connection with a police operation targeting Italian organized crime.
Police searched five locations, four of which were on the island of Montreal, and one in Laval. Police seized four guns, a kilogram of cocaine, marijuana and equipment used in the trafficking of drugs.
Police spokesperson Lynne Labelle said the main focus of the investigation was Caf� Niro on Pie IX. The investigation started in Sept. 2008 after police received information regarding the location.
The men arrested range in age from 29 to 68. They are expected in court Friday afternoon.
