The Surete du Quebec and the RCMP released more details Wednesday about a big marijuana network that's being broken up this week.

Police say that greenhouse equipment suppliers acted as middlemen between drug growers and drug dealers, providing hardware that was used to set up marijuana grow operations.

Asian gangs allegedly worked with several suppliers in and around Montreal.

Officers confiscated more than 18,000 marijuana plants as well as $400,000 in cash as part of Operation Borax.

Twelve greenhouses were dismantled and more than 100 people were arrested on Tuesday.

A number of other suspects turned themselves in on Wednesday morning.
