Montreal and Laval police were busy Thursday night and early Friday morning with a shooting and two stabbings in three different cases.

Shooting

A 21-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg in a residential area of Pierrefonds on Thursday night, say police.

The shooting happened around 10:50 p.m. The man was taken to hospital, but police do not fear for his life.

Police are searching for witnesses and have made no arrests. They believe the shooting was gang-related.

Domestic violence

A man in his 20s is in stable condition after being stabbed by his girlfriend in their apartment in Anjou.

The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. On Friday at an apartment on Joseph-Renaud Boulevard near Chateauneuf.

A woman in her 30s was arrested.

Montreal police are investigating what they consider a case of domestic violence.

Stabbing in bar parking lot

A man in his 30s was stabbed in the shared parking lot of two bars in Laval early Friday morning, according to police.

The incident happened around 12:20 a.m. Fabreville in Laval.

Two suspects attacked the man before fleeing the scene, and police believe the headed to wards Cure-Labelle Boulevard.

The 34-year-old victim, who is known to police, is not collaborating with police.
