Two men and a teenager have died in three unrelated traffic collisions in the Montreal area.

At 10:30 on Thursday night a car struck a 15-year-old boy on Highway 132 east of the Champlain bridge.

He was trying to run across the highway when a car ran him down.

The boy was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Crash in L'Epiphanie

North of Montreal, in the Laurentian town of L'Epiphanie, a 44-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his car and rammed a Hydro pole.

Firefighters at the scene tried to rescue the man, but he died of his injuries.

Motorcylist killed

Meanwhile a 41-year-old motocyclist from Terrebonne died in a crash on Highway 640 near Lachenais.

A car struck the motorcycle about one o'clock Friday morning, and dragged the rider for some distance.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
