A cyclist was killed overnight when he was struck by a car on a highway in the Monteregie.
The car was heading eastbound on Route 116 between Ste. Madeleine and St. Hyacinthe when the driver drifted out of her lane around 1 a.m.
Police believe she may have fallen asleep at the wheel.
She was taken to hospital to be treated for slight injuries, and arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
