Pierre Defoy pleaded guilty Friday to kidnapping and sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy last July.
The boy had been grabbed in Levis, on Quebec City's south shore, and thrown in a trunk. He was then bound, gagged and sealed in an empty oil drum in an apartment complex where Defoy worked as a janitor.
Police managed to find the boy and save him, thanks to the help of witnesses.
Defoy, 51, is due back in court for sentencing on Sept. 8.
