Members of Amnesty International Canada and Lawyers Without Borders are demanding the Canadian government bring Omar Khadr back to Canada.

They held a protest Saturday in support of the youngest Guantanamo Bay detainee.

Khadr has been held in Guantanamo for seven years, ever since he was captured in Afghanistan.

He is now the only Western citizen held in the prison camp.

Khadr is accused of throwing a grenade that killed an American soldier when he was 15 years old.

Amnesty International says it has 60,000 signatures on a petition demanding the Harper government bring Khadr back to Canada.

This week Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon reiterated that the federal government will ask the Supreme Court of Canada to overturn lower court decisions ordering Ottawa to repatriate Khadr.
