Two young men are in stable condition after a drive-by shooting in Ahuntsic Monday.
A group of men were standing in front of an apartment building on Olivier-Maureault at the intersection of Louvain at about 3 p.m. when a driver in a dark-coloured car shot at them.
A 15-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man were both shot in the leg. They are recovering in hospital.
The victims are known to police.
No arrests have been made so far, said Montreal police Const. Olivier Lapointe.
Local residents were hesistant to offer further information, something Cmdr. Carole Lalonde of Precinct 27 hopes to change.
"We're here to protect you," said Lalonde, adding that young people in the area are often afraid to speak out.
