A former elite south-shore soccer coach, who was re-arrested in an alleged pedophilia case, has been denied bail after police say he violated earlier bail conditions.

Thierry Massimo, 41, of Longueuil, was remanded into custody at the Longueuil courthouse on Wednesday afternoon.

SQ police officers arrested Massimo for a second time on Saturday in Chambly. The Crown has said he should remain behind bars until his trial.

The arrest was made at a soccer game in which some of Massimo's alleged victims were playing. Massimo had been ordered to stay away from minors.

Massimo was first arrested in July and faces 25 charges related to the sexual abuse of minors over the past three years.

Three of the alleged victims were his players, and eight other boys were allegedly lured over the internet.

Massimo had been freed on $2,500 bail on condition that he stay away from anyone under the age of 18.
