A missing woman was found alive Saturday along a private road in a heavily-wooded area near Highway 125 in Entrelacs, 95 kilometres north of Montreal.

Surete du Quebec officers have confirmed that it is 62-year-old Micheline Charron, who disappeared only a few kilometres away from the area overnight last Sunday into Monday.

The woman had called a friend around midnight, saying she was worried. When her friend arrived, the front door was open, the lights were on, but no one was home aside from a barking dog.

Police found Charron at 3:45 p.m. Saturday following after a tip from a caller. They said she appeared slightly confused but in good health.

She was taken by ambulance to hospital.
