A man in his 30s was treated for shock after bullets narrowly missed him right near a police station overnight.

He was attacked downtown on St-Elisabeth between Ste-Catherine and Rene-Levesque at around midnight.

A police officer was leaving the station when he heard gunshots and saw a man fleeing. A man was apprehended and police then realized he had been the victim.

The man said he had been approached by several people on the street when someone shot at him.

A projectile was found in the windshield of a parked car.

Police have a vague description of the shooter and they're still trying to determine the motive behind the attack.
