A pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a taxi.
Police say the man, in his fifties, was crossing against a red light on de Lorimier and de Maisonneuve, when the cab ran him down at 3:20 Friday morning.
The pedestrian suffered severe head injuries, and remains in hospital in critical condition.
The taxi driver stopped at the scene and talked to officers.
Police say the driver was not at fault for the collision.
