As the search for 14-year-old David Fortin continues, activists are seeking a special task force devoted to the search for missing people.

Fortin's disappearance in March is a prime example of just how important the task force is, said Pierre-Hugues Boisvenu, president of the Murdered or Missing Persons Families Association.

The association held its annual meeting Sunday to discuss this and other issues.

Boisvenu's request for a task force was refused in April by Public Security Minister Jacques Dupuis.
