Patients are being asked to avoid the overcrowded emergency room at the Cite-de-la-Sante hospital until Wednesday evening.
The regional health agency made the announcement in a news release on Tuesday evening.
Patients are being asked to call the Info-Sante help line at 811 before visiting Laval clinics.
The advisory at Cite-de-la-Sante is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
