A homeowner was shot and wounded Sunday evening during a home invasion in Ahuntsic in what police believe was a random attack.
The man had gone upstairs when he heard a noise on the upper floor of his home at 10262 Parthenais around 9 p.m.
He was confronted by a gunman who opened fire, then fled.
The man's wife and child were in the home, but they weren't hurt.
The man was shot in the hip, but he's expected to live.
