Hundreds of fans braved the rain to pay tribute to the King of Pop Monday evening during a 12-hour tribute and fundraiser.
The Michael Jackson marathon on St. Denis St. raised funds for three charities.
There were impersonators for every stage of Jackson's life during the street party, red-carpet parade and live show.
Max Robitaille did his best impression of the late pop superstar, and said he was motivated by love.
"I want to do a tribute to Michael, 'cause he's been great through all the world," said Robitaiile.
"I love him very much and I miss him very much too."
Event producer Adam St. Coeur says he met Jackson when the popstar secretly visited the city last year. St. Coeur said he wanted to create an event like no other, to honour Jackson "for his career, for his music, for his talent, for the best entertainer in the world."
People at the event said Jackson was more than just a singer, he was an entertainer who cared about people.
Proceeds from the show will go to AIDS research, children's programs and resources for the blind.
