Two hit-and-run incidents overnight have left two people injured, and one person under arrest.

At 3:15 Saturday morning, a woman in her late 30s was crossing St. Catherine St. at St. Marc St. when she was struck by a dark car. She is in serious condition.

"(There are) no good witnesses. No one could get a full license plate," said Montreal police Const. Olivier Lapointe.

Ten minutes later, two 27-year-old men were in a head-on collision on the corner of Wellington and de l'Eglise Sts. in Verdun.

One man exited his vehicle to inspect the damage, when the second man pulled away in his vehicle, running over the victim. He suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was arrested shortly after and is being charged with driving under the influence causing harm.
