Fire ripped through a Starbucks Tuesday morning at the corner of St. Denis street and Ontario.

Emergency crews rushed to the restaurant at 4:30 in the morning as the fire spread from the basement of the coffeeshop to apartments on the second floor of the building.

65 firefighters knocked down the two-alarm blaze fairly quickly, limiting damage to $15,000.

20 tenants fled into the streets before dawn, but they will likely be able to return to their homes later in the day.

It make take several days before the coffeeshop is cleaned up enough to serve customers.

Most of the damage was limited to the back of the building, and so far all evidence indicates the fire was accidental.
