A woman who was accidentally shot by a hunter in the Eastern Townships is in critical but stable condition at a Montreal hospital.
The 21-year-old victim was shot Sunday in East-Hereford.
Police will question the 47-year-old hunter to determine exactly what happened, and why he mistook the woman for an animal.
The man from Sherbrooke was treated in hospital for shock.
The SQ say they will continue to treat the shooting as an accident until they learn otherwise.
