Two molotov cocktails caused minor damage to two Italian cafes early Wednesday morning in the St. Michel district.

Police believe the events may be connected.

The first attack happened just after 4 a.m. at Caf Purandello at 3280 Robert street.

The front window was broken by a rock and then a molotov cocktail was thrown in.

The second attack, happened ten minutes later when the front door and window of the Peaches Bar at 8420 St. Michel were broken down.

Someone threw a molotov cocktail into the building.

In both cases, the molotovs extinguished on their own.
