The man who attacked several people at Snowdon metro station, leaving one woman disabled for life, is now going to jail for two years.

On Friday Quebec's court of appeal overturned an earlier sentence handed down by a lower court judge.

That judge gave Peter Niedzielski no time behind bars.

Victims were outraged by the ruling and condemned it as a travesty of justice.

Niedzielski was high on drugs when he attacked numerous commuters in 2005.

He severely beat Marcia Langleib, who was left with permanent brain damage

This new ruling means Niedzielski has to turn himself in by Monday morning and begin serving his sentence behind bars.
