A man is in serious but stable condition after being stabbed during a drunken brawl in Montreal North on Monday evening.
Police say three men in their 50s were arguing in a rooming house on Monselet street at around 8:30 p.m. when one man stabbed the two others.
One was knifed in the abdomen and the other man suffered injuries to his face and neck.
A man was questioned and released, and police did not immediately lay any charges.
Woman stabbed
A 23 year old man was arrested overnight after his roommate was stabbed in a home in the Chomedey district of Laval.
A woman had told her roommate to move out because of unpaid bills at the unit on Cartier blvd.
Just after midnight on Tuesday, a man entered the unit and an argument broke out.
The woman was attacked and suffered slash wounds to her face, hands and abdomen.
A man was arrested and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman is expected to live.
