Lapierre scores shootout winner as Habs beat 'Canes

Maxim Lapierre was the lone scorer in the shootout, connecting in the sixth round, as the Montreal Canadiens edged Carolina 3-2 on Tuesday.
Andrei Kostitsyn tied the game for Montreal with just over two minutes left.
Max Pacioretty also scored for the Canadiens, who are 8-0 this season in games that go past regulation.
Carey Price made 30 saves for the Habs, including seven in overtime.
Brent Sutter and Jussi Jokinen scored for Carolina.
Hurricanes netminder Michael Leighton made 10 saves on 11 shots before leaving with a lower body injury midway through the second period.
Manny Legace stopped 23 of 24 shots he faced in relief.
The Hurricanes posted one of their best defensive efforts of the season, giving up fewer than three goals for the first time in 13 games.
