Public health officials say 2.4 million Quebecers -- or 33 percent of the population -- have been vaccinated against the H1N1 virus.

The vaccination campaign is intensifying, with the province hoping to inoculate as many as 150, 000 people per day.

Beginning Monday, every Quebecer in every region of the province will be eligible to receive the vaccine.

The health ministry says the second wave of swine flu will be less significant then previously anticipated.

Sixty-one Quebecers have died of illnesses related to the virus since September.
