Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman and quarterback Anthony Calvillo are planning to return to the team next season.

Calvillo confirmed his intentions Tuesday afternoon, while Trestman said he also doesn't want to leave the Als.

"I don't know what the future has in store for me, but I'm expecting to come back," Trestman told French-language sports network RDS.

Calvillo and Trestman led the team to finish atop the East Division standings with a league-best 15-3, and capped off the season with a Grey Cup victory - the sixth Grey Cup in the team's history.

Calvillo, in his 16th CFL season, was named the league's outstanding player for the second straight year and third time overall. He finished third overall in passing with 4,639 yards but completed 72 per cent of his passes and had just six interceptions in 550 pass attempts.

Rumours

Days before the Grey Cup game, rumours were circulating about Trestman possibly leaving Montreal to coach the NFL's Buffalo Bills.

The Bills abruptly fired coach Dick Jauron two weeks ago.
