A 55- year- old man is expected in court Wednesday after what's being called the biggest marijuana bust in the history of Montreal.

Police say they conducted a massive operation at two locations in the city's Plateau-Mont Royal district on Tuesday.

Officers confiscated more than 10,000 plants from two grow operations.

One was on the ground floor of a building on Casgrain and the other bust was on the seventh floor of a building on de Gaspe.

Also seized were thousands of dollars worth of hydroponic growing equipment.

The investigation began months ago, after a tip from a neighbour.

Police say there could be more arrests.
