Laval police are investigating an attempted murder in the Laval-des-rapides district on Wednesday morning.
A 50-year-old man was getting into his car when he was approached by a gunman who shot him at least once around 6:15 a.m.
The victim was transported to hospital - his condition is not known.
Laval police say the victim has no criminal record and is not known to them.
