Montreal police have tracked down and arrested a suspect in the city's 30th murder of the year.

Patrick Tshitenge-Masuku, 22, was captured at 2:30 Tuesday morning in a Montreal North nightclub.

He's currently being interrogated by the major crimes unit.

"The suspect ... should be appearing this afternoon in court to face charges of first degree murder," said police spokesman Andre Leclerc.

Police put out an appeal to the public to locate Tshitenge-Masuku after a 22-year-old man was stabbed and killed Saturday while at the Tribe Hyperclub in Old Montreal.

At the time of the attack, police arrested a 20-year-old man and interrogated him throughout the weekend.

He was considered a suspect, but at this point police are not recommending charges.
