KELOWNA, B.C. - A man who got tired waiting to see a doctor in a hospital emergency room in Kelowna, B.C. decided to turn the facility into a drive through by ramming his SUV into the front doors of the ER.

The RCMP say the 41-year-old Kelowna man had waited about 45 minutes to see a doctor at Kelowna General hospital late Tuesday night before he left.

He returned some time later to tell staff he was frustrated with the wait and threatened to drive his vehicle through the doors if he didn't get attention.

He was asked to calm down, but left the hospital and moments later drove his Chevrolet Blazer through the emergency doors.

No one was hurt, but there was extensive damage to the vehicle and the hospital.

The man was still in the Blazer when the Mounties arrived, and he's now been charged with dangerous driving, mischief and uttering threats.
