Mr. Chips was Bill Brown, who showed viewers how to do home repairs and basic carpentry projects. With the aid of co-host Don McGowan, he demonstrated how to build a patio or how to construct bookshelves or planters and such. The program was produced in the CFCF-TV studios in Montreal.
In this episode Mr. Chips and Don McGowan demonstrate how to build a desk that folds up against the wall.

Does anyone have any information on a set of workshop plans that were associated with the show? I have a set, titled "25 favourite workshop plans from Mr. Chips" and labelled Black and Decker, and I would love to get some more information about them.

I was the first guest on Mr Chips. I sent in a plan for a push go-cart and it was built. I also won a Black & Decker drill set. I wonder if the vido still exists. I have a great black & white phot of my appearence.
