SAINTE JULIENNE - The Surete du Quebec has identified the body of a man found in a freezer last week in Sainte Julienne as that of Eric Viel.

However police are not saying how Viel died, or whether further charges are forthcoming.

Viel, 44, was last seen on Dec. 22, 2009, and he was reported missing in January 2010.

Police discovered Viel's body after getting a tip from someone claiming there was a body inside a Sainte Julienne home.

They raided the home and found the corpse inside a freezer.

A 39-year-old woman who lives in the house was arrested and charged with indignity to human remains.

The house was the scene of a murder in 2009, and the husband of the woman who was arrested has been in jail for the past two years.

Jean Guerin is serving a 12-year sentence.
