Nude pedal power takes over Montreal streets
The riders assembled at Phillips Square at 11:30 p.m. Friday evening where they stripped down to get ready to roll.

MONTREAL A bunch of naked bicyclists invaded Montreal streets Saturday night in the first Midnight Naked Bike Ride.
The six-kilometre ride hit sections of Rene Levesque, St-Catherine, Sherbrooke, and Berri as well as the crowded section of Crescent St. where onlookers got to peek at the riders cruising down the busy bar strip.
Organizers called the naked ride "an opportunity to challenge the social status that is displayed by our clothes, the cars we drive, and all the accessories that show our hierarchical position in society."
Organizers also billed it as a chance to show, "the diversity of body types and to highlight the beauty of humanity in its many colours, shapes, ages and experiences."
Most of the riders were men and the finer details of their physiques were difficult to fully appreciate due to the dim lighting.
The ride was not to be confused with the World Naked Bike Ride which takes places in June.

I have to say, it's very easy to spot the people who have never been to a museum or taken a shower.
Sick? Perverted? Disgusting?
I feel sorry for your poor people. You must shudder in horror every time you change your clothes.
At least I can rest assured knowing that if you find the sight of the human form so revolting you will not be granted the opportunity to reproduce!

I'm thinking these poor riders must have very boring lives to spend a Saturday night in Montreal doing this LOL! Come on,really!

I was there and I would not say that most of the riders were male. There were more men but there were a great deal of women which I appreciated.
The intent behind this ride was not simply about positive body self image but it was also to encourage people to cycle instead of driving to save on polluting unecessarily, contributing to carbon emissions.

Public nudity is not permissible. These sick exhibitionists should be prosecuted. I'd have more respect if they pulled this stunt in winter.

It is not illegal to be naked in public. Disgusting. What is the point. Where does it end. And why were they not arrested and why should I be subjected to see naked people.

Another excuse to act like perverts. Much like all those old geezers full of cellulite do as they parade their bums up and down OKA Beach with that "look at me! I'm naked and groovy smug face". Aging hippies that look dumb naked with tattoos stretching like an ink blot over hanging flabby lizard skin. Yuck!

If they biked along some residential street at 11:30 pm no one would of noticed [but at least youngsters wouldn't see them...].

Some were wearing ties, so they weren't naked...
