It would be very difficult to determine who takes their admiration more seriously: fans of comic books, or aficionados of science fiction.

Thousands of people who like one, the other, or both, will be in Montreal the weekend of September 17 for Comiccon, where organizers are hoping to break attendance records.

It should not be hard considering Stan Lee, the man behind some of the biggest comic book heroes, will be the guest of honour.

But that's not all: other guests include Adam West (Batman), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Smallville), and Michael Dorn and Marina Sirtis (Star Trek).

People who prefer vehicles to people will also be able to get a glimpse of the Batmobile used in the campy TV show, or the time-travelling DeLorean from the Back to the Future movies.
