MONTREAL - Montreal police have arrested a man who walked into a police station overnight and said he was a suspect in the 28th homicide of the year.

Police say the attack took place on Sunday, Sept. 18 in St. Michel, when two men got into a fight and one pulled out a knife.

At the time police arrested two suspects in the attack on Jarry St. near 2nd Ave., but they were released after being questioned.

At a vigil for the slain 24-year-old man the following day, gunshots were fired and several fights broke out, but nobody was seriously hurt.

Jean-Louis Pascal is expected to appear in court Friday afternoon to face second degree murder charges.
