WINNIPEG - Chris Garrett ran in a one-yard touchdown with 48 seconds remaining in the game as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers clawed back from a 15-point deficit to defeat the Montreal Alouettes 26-25 on Sunday.

The teams are now tied for first place in the CFL East Division with 10-6 records, but the Bombers won the three-game season series and would get first place if the clubs finish the regular season tied.

Winnipeg wraps up the regular season hosting Toronto next Friday and travelling to Calgary Nov. 5.

Montreal hosts the Stampeders next Sunday and ends on the road against B.C. on Nov. 5.

Alouettes kicker Sean Whyte booted a personal-best six field goals under windy conditions in front of a sellout crowd of 30,360 at Canad Inns Stadium.

Montreal headed into the fourth quarter with a 25-10 lead after scoring 16 unanswered points in the third, but Winnipeg responded with 16 points in the fourth quarter.
