Three Saguenay teenagers are being accused of the heinous crime of attempting to set a 12-year-old girl on fire.
The incident occurred Friday night outside the home of one of the alleged perpetrators.
One of three children apparently sprayed the girl with gasoline, while the other used two matches and a piece of burning paper to attempt to set her on fire.
The teenagers apparently planned the attack by filling bottles filled with gasoline, pending the arrival of the victim.
The girl managed to escape and the father of one of the children involved called police.
An investigation is ongoing and charges could be filed in youth court in January.
All the children involved in the incident knew each other.
