MONTREAL - A piece of hockey history is gone.
Thieves have ripped out a bronze star honouring Maurice "The Rocket" Richard from the sidewalk in front of the old Forum.
In was the first star laid into the ground at that spot. But it wasn't the only one targetted.
"We have 24 insertions celebrating the 24 Stanley Cups the Canadiens have won and two of those insertions were loosened as well," Said Andre Jude of Canadian Forum Investments.
Jude doesn't want anything like this to happen again, so the AMC Forum has installed security cameras aimed at the sidewalk and secured the remaining bronze stars.
