Marvin Elkind was a made man.

He was Jimmy Hoffa's driver, worked for a boxer that threw fights, and in Montreal he worked for mafia crime boss Vic Cotroni.

Then he decided to work for the police.

After turning the tables on the crime syndicate, Elkind approached writer Adrian Humphreys and convinced him to write his life story.

Humphreys said the first time he met Elkind "I think, one, is he a liar, and two, if not, then what a gold mine."
