This week Gilles Duceppe stepped away from saying he was ready to run the Parti Quebecois, ensuring that Pauline Marois survived yet another attempt against her leadership.
But political analysts Don Macpherson and Jean Lapierre say the showing of unity that MNAs gave Marois this week is just temporary.
"It's never over," said Macpherson. "Really it's over until the next bad poll and/or until the PQ Caucus can convince itself that Bernard [Landry] is the second coming of Rene Revesque because now they don't have an alternative."
Lapierre spent part of the week in Joliette where PQ MNAs held a caucus meeting.
"They were all hypocritical on Wednesday," said Lapierre. "I was there at the caucus in Joliette where they all claimed she is so nice and she is so good and she is so tough. The week before they were ready to kick her out."

I wish CTV would provide a written transcript of the complete interview instead of only offering a video link. When I take time to visit this website during my break I don't like watching videos that make noise and disturb my coworkers.
