MONTREAL - Montreal police report that a 38-year-old man was killed after being shot in the upper body near the corner of Langelier and Lavoisier at around 6:00 p.m Thursday evening.
The victim, who was known to police, was shot while sitting in a black SUV.
He was transported to hospital but his death was confirmed soon after.
Investigators were searching for clues and witnesses at the scene in St. Leonard Thursday evening.
It is the fourth homicide of 2012. There were three murders at this point in 2011.
