MONTREAL - One person was killed and another is in critical condition after a shooting Thursday after 4 p.m. in Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs, in the Laurentians.

A third person was present at the scene and suffered a nervous shock.

A man came to the Laporte car dealership on Route 117, fired several shots and left in a vehicle, according provincial police spokesman Richard Benedict.

Investigators do not know any possible motive for the attack but said that the dealership has been the site of other crimes in recent years, including a recent arson.

The police spokesman was not authorized to give details on the victims Thursday night.

Sainte-Anne-des-Lacs is a town of roughly 3,000 roughly 75 kilometers north of Montreal.
