Vandals attacked the Montreal headquarters of the Ministry of Education overnight.

People showing up early at 600 Fullum street found the front of the building, including doors, walls, steps and windows, covered in red paint.

The vandalism occurred at some point between Sunday night and Monday morning, and security tapes will be reviewed to determine when the paint was applied, and who did it.

The Ministry of Education building has been the target of multiple protests over the past year and a half, almost always by students opposed to tuition hikes.

Students who oppose the fee hikes have been wearing red square patches during their protests.
