MONTREAL - Two Laval men were targeted by gunmen early Thursday morning as they parked in the Ste-Rose sector of the Montreal suburb, neither man was seriously injured in what police are calling a street gang-related incident.

At about 1:20 a.m., the two victims were parking near the intersection of Roseval St. and de la Renaissance Blvd. when they were fired on by a passing vehicle.

One of the men was struck by a bullet fragment and glass when the car's windows shattered, according to Laval police spokesman Franco Di Genova. The victims drove to the nearby headquarters of the Laval police before they were transported to hospital.

Witnesses soon called 911 with reports of a suspicious vehicle near the shooting, however the tip didn't lead police to the right men. Laval police are also looking for three men who were driving an old red car at the time of the shooting.

Police do not know if the victims knew their assailants.
